My Journey

Never did I EVER imagine in a million years I'd be on this journey in my life.

It's definitely not what I said I wanted to do when I grew up!!

I grew up in a small town in North Carolina with a very loving family. My childhood was a good one which I'm incredibly grateful for now more than ever. My journey with alcohol started when I was just thirteen. There was

literally nothing for us teenagers to do on the weekends so we'd meet up at people's homes, the "pecan trees" or "the field" and would drink as much as we could. At the young age of 15, I started experimenting with drugs,

and I'm SO thankful I never got in trouble with the Law!! Life is a journey, but such

good lessons of life that we learn along the way.

It was a few years ago when I became "sober curious", but it took a pandemic to bring me to my "bottom"

and I FINALLY decided at the age of 44, on January 10, 2021 to surrender it all to God.

This was the first day of the rest of my life.

I am a Jesus loving southern girl that loves my family unconditionally. I have an

amazing supportive husband of 19 years, a beautiful firecracker 14 year old daughter, and

a gentle giant 12 year old son. They were my WHY, but now I do it for ME.

I'm super excited about this new adventure and I pray this journey

of mine is one that inspires many to do the same.
