"I am with you and for you. You face nothing alone...NOTHING! When you feel anxious, know that you are focusing on the visible world and leaving Me out of the picture. The remedy is simple: Fix your eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. Verbalize your trust in Me, The living One who sees you always. I will get you safely through this day and all your days. But you can find Me only in the present. Each day is a precious gift from My Father. How ridiculous to grasp for future gifts when today's is set before you! Receive today's gift gratefully, unwrapping it tenderly and delving into its depths. As you savor this gift, you find Me." ~ Jesus Calling by Sarah Young
Today, I attended the 7:30am meeting because one of my new friends got his one year chip. He personally requested that I attend so I of course, didn't want to miss. He's an older man that has struggled most of his life and relapsed a ton, BUT he made it this time to one year. He gave it all to God. Needless to say, it's quite an accomplishment and everyone was so excited and happy for him. It made me yearn for this moment within and was so empowering! I can't WAIT to get my 30 day chip (God willing) and pray for many more chips in my future!!!
We focused today on receiving "His gift of peace". The devotional today by Sarah Young explains the importance of living for today...being grateful for His gifts. I am not alone in this fight. He is with me! I hear so many testimonies each day about how God has worked in their lives. It's truly AMAZING (and I get goose bumps all over hearing the stories).
Yesterday, I received an unexpected gift in the mail from one of my favorite Christian speakers, Joyce Meyer...it was her book "Unshakeable Trust". The timing was ALL God's timing for sure. I didn't ask for this book, and have only received things that I have personally ordered from her organization, but THIS was a God moment. THIS is something that I really need to read right now and He knew it! I need to have "unshakeable trust" in Him more than EVER right now (and always). He is the miracle maker, the pain taker and WILL see me through THIS each and every day! Today, I will relish in the present and live only for today allowing Him to light my path with every step I take.
